Since Skinny Noodles are packaged in natural alkaline water, cut the package over the sink. The natural alkaline water keeps Skinny Noodles fresh and ready-to-eat without refrigeration needed until opened. After opening the package, place the package contents into a colander; and drain. Continue to rinse Skinny Noodles in water to eliminate their ocean-like scent. If desired, after rinsing and draining noodles well, toss them into bowl, add 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar, gently mix into noodles, and set aside 1-2 minutes. The vinegar will neutralize the alkaline, removing the smell. Rinse thoroughly and drain well again.
When you’re using Skinny Noodles in a recipe, it may be necessary to trim them to the proper length. Place them on a cutting board and cut them with a knife if needed. Then boil water in a small saucepan with a pinch of salt. Add Skinny Noodles and allow them to boil for 2-3 minutes, then rinse with cold water. If you prefer, instead of boiling, you can pan fry Skinny Noodles on medium heat in a nonstick skillet for 2-3 minutes or until the noodles "squeak."
